Let’s face it, everyone loves to save money. So when people go out to look for new memory foam beds the first things that they are going to come across are memory foam mattress pads. Now these pads can be helpful in certain situations, but less so in others. Today we are going to talk about when you need a new memory foam mattress or just a pad.
Now for those that do not know, memory foam mattress pads are just pads that are made out of the memory foam padding that are used to lay across the top of your current mattress. In some cases, they can make your current bed feel like other memory foam beds. Other times they fall very short of offering any kind of support.
So how do you know if you need a whole mattress or a pad? Well what it really comes down to is your current mattress. If your new mattress is old, then a pad will do you no good. That is because old spring mattresses tend to get lumpy in certain places. This is going to cause the pad to not lay flat. In that case, buying a mattress pad does you no good. You would be better off just trading in your old mattress and getting one of those new memory foam beds.
